Having lived in the sierra mountains of California for about 30 years I am blessed with access to many types of fun, active and challenging forms of exercise. Discovering Vinyasa yoga was a game changer for me. I was looking for a form of exercise that would be mindful and nurturing to my body but also build strength and stamina. Finding a sense of community was a surprising bonus. This was not the yoga my parents were practicing in the 70’s, which always seemed kind of somber and static. I remember looking at a paperback book with hand drawn poses in it and though the poses were interesting to try, there wasn’t the flow, sequence or action that my brain and body were craving. Having now practiced flow yoga for quite a few years I still find I need a little help from a strap. The speed and flow of a vinyasa class does not always allow for me to stop, reach for a strap, apply strap, and get deeper into the pose before the class is moving onto another pose. This led me to search for a strap that could be worn throughout the practice. When I could not find one I decided to create the Bhakti strap. I now use mine all the time and Hope that others will benefit from using them as well.

Namaste,

Jenny
